Spotlight on Doug Pekel
As a six-year Product Specialist at Tri-State Wire Rope Supply, a Fulcrum Lifting company, Doug Pekel knows a thing or two about the rigging industry. He often assists customers in tackling difficult rigging applications and genuinely enjoys helping them solve problems. However, did you know he’s a dad, seafood-eater and fan of Seinfield? We asked Doug to share with us some of his lesser known qualities for readers to enjoy this month.
What do you do at Fulcrum Lifting?
I have been with the company since 2011 and have been a Product Specialist from the start.
What do you like most about your job?
Helping people with their rigging challenges. I love responding to a request for service immediately and following through after the sale.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love spending time with my family and friends. I also like golfing, boating and hiking.
Do you have any children?
Yes, Julianne (29), Michael (27) and Megan (23). We also have two dogs, Austin and Ruby, and three Cats named Lelo, Dexter and Willow.
Do you have a favorite food and favorite TV show?
Favorite food: good seafood. Favorite shows: Seinfeld, Boston Legal, The Office, and currently Superstore.
What is your favorite product offered at TSWR/Fulcrum Lifting?
Teaching rigging awareness classes. I like helping to keep people safe.

Probably easy-going and friendly.
What’s your favorite part of working with customers?
Helping with difficult rigging applications…helping them clean up their shop so there’s no more homemade lifting products.
